the ballad of a very tired teen gal

Bridge. 19. she/hers. I really like video games, comics, and getting very emotional about fictional characters. I have a lot of ideas I haven't done but just you wait.

YA literature? You mean books about Super Special White Girl and Her Mysterious Brooding Boyfriend?

fuckyeahyoungadultlit

Here’s a list of black YA leads! And ten Native American protagonists! And a list of ladies who love ladies in YA! And genderqueer / transgender YA leads! And more queer titles! And 2015 / 2016 YA books with Asian / East Asian leads! And bisexual YA leads! And Muslim YA leads! And asexual YA leads! And YA Interrobang’s entire section on diverse YA fiction!

Hi, how can a girl who knows absolutely nothing about D&D get started?

outofcontextdnd

Okay so the fastest and easiest way to learn the game is to just start playing. All you need is 3-4 friends, some rule books, and some dice.  But before you go out buying books and dice you gotta find out what edition you want to play. 4th and 5th editions are both pretty easy to pick up. 5th edition is what’s new and hot right now so it also has that going for it. I personally have a strong bias towards a sort of spin off of 3rd Edition called Pathfinder.

If you want to check out how the game is played before you make that choice listening to podcast is a p good way to do that. Heres a 5th edition one that I like and also (shameless self advertising) my friends and I do a Pathfinder podcast as well.

If you can’t find friends in the offline world to play with you there are also ways to play it with people online like https://roll20.net/ (which also comes with its own e-dice). You can also find groups to play with there. There is also this other blog I run for finding groups called @lfglistings.

See that girl there you just sent a howler to saying she was fat? She’s now taking potions to make her skinny. See that boy that you told him he would never amount to anything? He was going to try out for the Quidditch Team, but because of what you said, he changed his mind.See that boy that you said he’s bad at charms? He’s up all night reading books and practicing spells.See that girl you just tripped? Shes a Hufflepuff. Reblog this if you are against bullying
